The student council body is the primary organization that represents the voices of the CIT students. The body was formed to allow students’ participation in the governance of the institution, giving them a voice in the decision making process of the institution, representing their interests as well as addressing their needs especially in decision that impacts them directly. Students nominate and elect their representatives who are responsible for representing their wishes to the faculty, staff, and administration of the institution.
This collaboration it is anticipated will allow for greater harmonious relationship between students and faculty, student and staff and students and administration. Elections are held annually and a Student Council representative can serve only two terms in office whether consecutively or otherwise.
