Welcome to the Caribbean Institute of Technology’s Counselling Center. The Counselling Centre is designed to complement the College's academic mission by assisting students' personal and educational development through short-term psychological counseling, academic consultation, career and guidance counselling, and referrals for long-term therapy, specialized therapy, medication and emergency and inpatient mental health services. "

The resident and offsite Counsellors provide guidance and directions to students who wish to improve their well-being, alleviate distress and maladjustment, resolve crises, and increase their ability to live more highly functioning lives. Counselling will addresses the students’ social, vocational, educational, health-related, developmental, and organizational concerns as the institution seeks to balance the lives of all students as they maximize their experience.

Confidentiality
The services of the CIT Counseling Center are separate from any other student records. Information revealed in counselling sessions is considered confidential, except in cases of imminent danger or where otherwise mandated by law, or when permission is granted to release information.

The Counselling Center is opened to students five days per week from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
