The Caribbean Institute of Technology is committed to the promotion of the personal growth and development of all students. The non-academic, or co-curricular, life at CIT is ever expanding to suit the growing diversity of students that are now part of the institution. The Student Affairs Department is set up to assist students in all aspects of co-curricular life on campus. Activities and services include the following:

CIT Sports Day
The CIT Sports day is held annually in April. Students, Instructors and administrative staff members who are assigned to three houses ireprrsenting three colours Purple, Red and Yellow compete against each other for top place.
Toastmasters Club
The CIT Toastmasters club was introduced in the summer of 2008 in an effort to build the leadership skills, debating skills, and planning skills of the students and staff of the institution. The club will be open to all students who are willing to participate and who will eventually form part of the debating club at the institution.
Football Club
The football club will enhance the physical fitness and health of our students. The club will enable them to be part of a strict training programme that will not only engender physical fitness, but also mental dexterity, and interaction between other tertiary institutions as well as organization in the zone in which the institution is located.
Chess Club
The Chess club was formed to provide students and staff with another method of improving concentration and focus. Playing the game relieves stress, provides fun and allows for interaction between the group as well as other institutions and clubs that are part of the larger local organization.
IT Club
The IT Club allows students to gather to share information on important developments in the IT industry. The club brings together students in the full-time and part-time schedules for all programmes. The IT club also interfaces with other secondary institutions which the mentor. Club member are recommended for the Tech Challenge Competition and Debate Competitions.
